Just spitting distance from the toe of the country, the Cornish village of Mousehole is a year-round destination. Flock here to see the Mousehole lights and tuck into a slice of Star Gazey pie in December (ask any local to tell you the legend of Tom Bawcock if you haven’t heard of Star Gazey pie), don walking boots and head out along coast path to Lands End in any season, or come here in summer for the sailing, fishing, water sports and beach life.
With a village shop, an excellent delicatessen,
a weekly visit from the fish van and butcher, and fresh vegetable stalls in the streets, you don’t have to go far for groceries.
